Minor spotting and toning to some quires, a few creases, minor occasional edge wear. 
 
 
Rare (no U.S. copies) first and only edition of this guide for “the new bride of Jesus,” i.e., nuns. It is the work of Domenico Maria Becucci, a priest at the church of San Felice a Ema (a few miles southeast of Florence).  
 
Becucci discusses a nun’s vows of poverty, obedience & chastity, adapting to the cloistered life, how to recite the Divine Office in public & private, how to aspire to perfection, charity, humility, daily exercises for freeing souls from purgatory, etc.
