Binding and contents well preserved, with only minor toning to a few leaves.
 
 
An unusual 18th-century Italian manuscript consisting of wordlists of specialized French agricultural terms and definitions. These terms are glossed for the use of an Italian speaker. The manuscript’s biding is certainly Italian.
 
The manuscript was set up as a handbook with alphabetical headings added to leaves so that the owner could add words when he encountered them in reading (or even when spoken in the field). A systematic study of the letter ‘A’ was attempted, but thereafter entries become sparse and haphazard.
